This role is one that covers multiple disciplines where you will be responsible for managing, developing and analysing the data in Christchurch City Councils corporate systems to support the forward planning of land and buildings.

Your days will differ from one to the next. You will be collecting information on Christchurch City Council assets and making sure that it is correctly captured and managed in our corporate systems. The incumbent will coordinate and carry out data collection of physical land and building assets and validate the information collected to ensure it meets the appropriate data standards. You will prepare customised reports to support end-users and consumers of land and building asset data and you will also develop, document and maintain standards and procedures for the capture of all information relating to land and building asset data. Being confident in systems will see you perform data manipulation, validation and analysis as well.

To be successful in this role you'll be a highly organised and disciplined person who has a number of years' experience in a data management role. You'll have an intimate knowledge of asset categories and will be competent in corporate systems, such as SAP. A working knowledge of spatial systems would be desirable. You'll be tertiary qualified in a relevant degree and will be willing and confident within yourself
