**What can you expect?**
A rare opportunity has become available for a focused, passionate and an inspiring leader to assume the role of Head of Marsh Specialty.
This role will focus on the strategic direction of the Specialty Practice by providing clear and effective communication, leadership, engagement of employees and developing a goal-oriented vision.
**We will count on you to**:
- Drive the strategic vision of the Specialty Practice, through the preparation, management, implementation and achievement of the Practice’s business plans and goals
- Drive and champion change throughout the Practice, to deliver continuous improvement and competitive advantage to the Specialty Practice
- Establish and communicate purpose and direction through set targets, goals and visions
- Efficiently coordinate, delegate and direct resources to achieve set outcomes
- Define, evaluate, and communicate long and medium-term objectives for business units and practice areas.
- Be a member of the Executive team for New Zealand and contribute to the overall strategy of the business
- Focus activities on the achievement of a vision or desired long-term outcome.
- Exercise control over expenditure while creating opportunities for development and business capabilities.
- Evaluate significant items of expenditure and maintain an awareness of expenditure against budget
- Frequently monitor environmental, leadership and other changes within client industries to always preserve and protect the Company’s relationship
- Recognise and capitalise upon revenue generation, growth and other opportunities
- Provide unconditional support for all company sponsored revenue generation initiatives and ensure new initiatives are embraced by subordinate practices and units
- Maximise team and account profitability through the implementation of efficient and effective work practices, adequate client billing and sensible expense control.
- Personally comply with the Company's Errors and Omissions avoidance procedures and ensure that no Errors and Omissions occur within your team
**What you need to have**:
- Strong industry experience and market credibility
- Post Graduate Management qualification or equivalent
- Diploma in Financial Services (General Insurance) or (Insurance Broking)
- Senior Associate of ANZIIF
- Extensive knowledge of Financial and Professional liability products (PI/D&O)
- Strong influencing and client management skills
- Travel will be required
