Senior Medical Officer - ORL (Head and Neck) Flexibility Fantastic training opportunity Counties Manukau invites applications for an Otorhinolaryngologist Head and Neck Surgeon to join our department.
This position is full-time (1 FTE) and is based at the Manukau Super Clinic & Surgery Centre, providing outpatient, day stay surgery, and inpatient services to our diverse population.
Our Otolaryngology department has excellent facilities and equipment.
The service delivers a broad range of secondary care.
You will be based in our Clinic at New Zealand's leading ambulatory facility, Manukau Health Park (MHP).
From time to time, there may be sessions required at other Metro Auckland district facilities (e.g., Northshore and Auckland City Hospitals) as we work towards a more regional approach.
We are also in the process of expanding our outpatient services to 6 days per week (Saturdays), but weekend work is entirely voluntary and fee for service.
This role is required for meeting the needs of Counties Manukau patients, particularly those with head and neck and thyroid conditions.
There is also a need to provide continuity of care and support to the existing ORL Head and Neck sub-specialty as this service develops a surgical programme for more complex surgery, including combined surgery sessions with Plastic Surgery.
There will be the opportunity to participate in the local and regional Multidisciplinary Meetings for Head & Neck services.
Minimum Requirements: Candidates must have vocational registration with the Medical Council of NZ.
