**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
This purpose of this role is to provide leadership and oversight of the projects undertaking the work to rectify payrolls and make remediation payments to current and former staff, reporting to senior leadership and setting the standards required by Te Whatu Ora and inform the work which protects Te Whatu Ora and ensures that our people receive their entitlements as soon as possible.
Some key areas of responsibility are:
- Be the Te Whatu Ora lead for this work safeguarding the reputation of Te Whatu Ora while ensuring that employees are paid their entitlements.
- Oversee the projects and progress of plans submitted by the projects
- Provide project expertise and advice
- Risk analysis
- Makes recommendations to the Head of National People Services in the event of non-delivery
- Sets the required process for the delivery of payments to former employees
- Owns the former national employee portal
- Sets the standards required for communication to all staff from each project and audit delivery.
- Aligns to the national PMO to provide reporting to provide a national picture of progress.

The key skills and experience we are looking for include (but not limited to):
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving ability. Able to assess large volumes of data to inform performance metrics and to make data-driven decisions. Is proficient in MS Office products, particularly Access, Excel, and Word.
- Senior leadership level experience and responsibility for managing people, budgets, forecasting, and cost management.
- Experience in giving meaningful effect to the expectations outlined in Te Tiriti o Waitangi in their position(s)/at a leadership level.
- In-depth knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and the Holidays Act 2003, and a variety of employment contractual agreements (i.e., MECAS, IEAs, etc).
- A relevant tertiary qualification or comparable experience working at a senior leadership level
