**_ The Team: _**What we do**

The Burwood Spinal Service is based on the Burwood Campus and provides specialised inpatient rehabilitation in ward HG/Spinal Unit and outpatient reassessment services, both locally and across the region, for people that are impacted by spinal cord impairment. The Adult Rehabilitation service also covers the Burwood Adult Rehabilitation Unit in Ward CG which provides services to under 65 year olds with neurological conditions and those requiring general rehabilitation.

The inter-disciplinary team work with whānau and carers to provide a collaborative approach to ensure the communication of assessments, goal setting and the completion of patient's rehabilitation plans provide optimal care.

**Mō te tūnga | About the role**

The Clinical Administrator function is to provide secretarial and administrative assistance to the Adult Rehabilitation Services. It is based in ward HG/Spinal Unit and although it primarily supports the Spinal Service there may be tasks that are assigned to support the Burwood Adult Rehabilitation Unit service as well, under the direction of the Team Leader, Adult Rehabilitation. This role plays a vital part in the effective and efficient running of the services as well as assisting the team in meeting their objectives. This is a 0.5 FTE role, for 20 hours per week.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Medical and general typing support, both transcribing and copy typing
- Management of discharge documentation on HCS
- Booking and coordinating outpatient clinics using SI PICS
- Collating data and information for ACC invoicing
- General Admin support for the ward
- Cover reception on wards, as required
- Typing and circulation of leave and call rosters as needed
- Data entry and reporting of statistics as requested
- Communicate and set up of clinical review meetings using a range of technologies

- Intermediate skills in the Microsoft suite e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel
- A background working as an administrator in the health industry would be beneficial
