Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity The Practice Lead - Delivery is accountable for managing the performance and delivery quality of our contracted programme and project managers, coordinators, administrators, and planners/schedulers. They work closely with the Consulting Manager, Delivery and Portfolio Programme Managers to build a high performing, engaged, project delivery function that meets the Agency's needs in designing and delivering business and customer change. Working with the Portfolio Management Team, this role will ensure our contractors have the right capabilities and skillsets, and are supported, to successfully deliver our work programme. As part of the Delivery Management Team the Practice Leads will be instrumental in supporting the continuous improvement of our delivery practice and capability development of our people. - Substantial practitioner experience as a programme/project manager in a range of organisations and projects
- Experience in coaching and mentoring others
- People leadership experience
- Substantial experience with a range of programme/project frameworks and tools
- A proven track record in evaluating and resolving complex issues coaching and mentoring others, sharing your knowledge and experience across the team, Agency and stakeholders
- A relevant tertiary qualification and/or programme/project certification and/or substantial industry experience required
- Prince2, Managing Successful Programmes or Management of Portfolios an advantage

You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
