**He angitūtanga | The opportunity**

The purpose of this role is to lead, direct and oversee our distribution and sales operations for MAS identified Student, Graduate and Young Professional markets, ensuring successful channel alignment, and consistent delivery of our products and services to our Members and prospective markets.

At its highest level, this role is responsible for the execution of the Distribution Strategy as it relates to our dedicated growth channels. Working closely with the other leaders in the Distribution and Marketing team, MAS Product teams and wider, the essence of the work is to support growth and channel improvement, enhancing our services and provide exceptional service to prospective and existing Members.

**He kōrero mōu | Key attributes we are looking for**
- Sales management experience including strong leadership and management skills with the ability to coach, inspire and motivate a team
- Proven and demonstratable experience in supporting targeted growth initiatives and driving sales and exceeding targets, including evidence of process and channel improvements that have led to stronger sales outcomes
- Strong background channel development & implementation
- A seasoned Distribution or Sales practitioner with at least 8 years' experience and previous experience operating at a leadership or strategic level
- Holding a Member focus and alignment to MAS' purpose and commercial lens to activity
- Interpersonal savvy & strong communication and network skillsets
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Previous experience working in a regulatory or financial / insurance services environment is desired.
- Relevant tertiary qualification
