We are looking for a Business Rules Specialist to join the Business Analytics and Targeting team. The Business Rules Specialist contributes to the operations of the Business Analytics and Targeting team. The team is responsible for undertaking analysis and developing and managing visa targeting outputs to assist with risk management and processing efficiency through the Triage system.

As a Business Rules specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining business rules to support the triage framework mechanism which the Business Analytics and Targeting team administers. You will be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness and performance of business rules in test environments prior to production releases and to make recommendations on business rule design and implementation.

- Proven ability to translate business rule requirement into implementable rules (logic statements) within a rule's engine.
- Highly developed communication skills, both written and oral with a proven ability to create strong working relationships with managers and staff.
- Good understanding of syntax, vocabulary and logic in a rule's engine, reporting, or similar tool.
- Ability to work independently, a can-do attitude, excellent command of the English language, and can quickly assimilate new information or areas of work.
- Experience of ICT Software Development Lifecycle and release / deployment process would be an advantage.
- Experience in designing business rules ideally in a central government environment.
