Portfolio Delivery Process Improvements Lead

The opportunity:
As Process Improvements Lead, you will be pivotal to the successful delivery of AIA’s strategic initiatives having responsibility for continuous process improvements across the whole project delivery life cycle within the Portfolio Delivery Office, including all four delivery Practices (Portfolio Delivery Practice, Business Analysis Practice, Change Management Practice, Testing and Release Management Practice).
About the role:
Leadership- Provide continuous process improvement oversight across all delivery practices with a focus on supporting practices leads and team members to demonstrably do the right thing in the right way.- Drive a culture of high performance and continuous improvement across all delivery practices with a focus on risk management, compliance, continued learning and innovation.
Continuous Process Improvement across the Portfolio Delivery Office- Identify process improvement efficiencies across all four core delivery practices and implement process improvement changes that result in improved delivery, business benefit and customer outcomes, with a specific focus across:
- The Portfolio Delivery Governance Framework, including the AIA’s Project Management Playbook which articulates our project lifecycle, standards, templates, and practices to ensure that these are appropriately documented, embedded, operating as expected and continuously reviewed.-
- Embed disciplines that promote good governance, collaboration amongst teams, transparency, and traceability of key decisions.-
- Ensure that project management practices operate in line with risk appetite, and adhere to relevant policies, frameworks, and legislation/regulation, and comply with financial controls requirements.Portfolio Delivery Systems and Tooling- Ensure that all delivery processes and tools are fit for purpose, and executed with due regard to AIA’s risk appetite, legal, regulatory and conduct obligations.- Develop, maintain, and create portfolio reporting and metrics across all key delivery systems and tools, as required to support and identify process improvement opportunities across the delivery life cycle, including (but not limited to): capacity management; portfolio schedule; tracking key milestones; dependency management; release management; technical debt management; post implementation reviews; project closure processes and benefit and value analysis
Portfolio Governance Reporting and Metrics- Develop Portfolio Delivery governance reporting and metrics that supports and drives data driven decisions and process improvements across the Portfolio Delivery Office.- Ensure that reporting procedures and governance requirements are adhered to so that key stakeholders have up to date awareness of all core project delivery risk, issues, change, risk impacts and operating data pertinent to sound decision making.- Ensure early identification and management of delivery issues, risks, and dependencies across the portfolio by the development of targeted delivery metrics and reporting
Portfolio Document Management- Create, develop, and manage the Portfolio Delivery Office document management framework, ensuring alignment with the overall governance framework and standardisation including all delivery templates across all four core delivery practices:

- Testing and Release ManagementAbout you:
- 10+ years of experience in process improvement and project delivery with relevant experience in similar or related position.- Portfolio, programme, and project management experience within highly complex portfolios.- Proficient in multiple project methodologies, tools, and templates, including Agile delivery and transformation- Demonstrated leadership experience with effective coaching skills-
- Highly organised, plans and priorities well and manages time to focus self and others on the most important activities- Scaled Agile SAFE SPC certification or equivalent preferred- Programme and Project Management Industry Certification preferred- Organisational Change Management experience preferred
