About the role
As a key leader in our office you'll have the opportunity to lead the delivery of projects, as well as provide technical expertise on complex residential and commercial designs.
Your ability to understand client needs, propose innovative solutions, and drive project success whilst establishing and maintaining client relationships.

Lead and inspire a team of talented Structural Engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
Oversee the delivery of a diverse range of projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the highest standards of design, execution, and client satisfaction.
Manage the team’s workload, ensuring efficient project delivery while being hands-on with preliminary designs, supervising detailed designs, on-site investigations, and technical development.
Develop and nurture client relationships, maintaining and further developing relationships from initial meetings through to project completion, ensuring successful outcomes and repeat business.
Lead business development, preparing proposals, and contributing to the company’s growth by expanding client portfolios and identifying new opportunities.
Contribute to the wider company strategy, helping shape long-term goals, fostering innovation, and ensuring financial success for your discipline and region.

About you

CPEng qualified with 10 years+ professional structural engineering experience in New Zealand, with solid technical expertise in seismic design.
Leadership experience with the ability to mentor, inspire, and build a cohesive, high-performance team.
Client-facing expertise with the ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships while understanding their needs and delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
A solid understanding of project management, from cost estimation and tender submissions to project scheduling and delivery.
Commercially astute mindset, with a focus on risk management, client satisfaction, and driving business growth.
Problem-solving attitude, thriving on challenges and motivated to deliver results even in complex or high-pressure situations.
