Structural Team Leader

We have a new opportunity for an experienced Structural Team Leader or Manager to join our team in Hamilton.
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader/Manager to lead and inspire our team of talented Structural Engineers, while playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of our projects. You'll have a strong network, with client-facing expertise, and adept business development skills, to lead and develop our Structural discipline.

**About the role**
You will lead our team of Structural Engineers creating a high-performance focused culture through personal leadership, teamwork, and coaching.
Lead the delivery of projects, as well as provide technical expertise on complex residential and commercial projects. Your ability to understand client needs, propose innovative solutions, and drive project success whilst establishing and maintaining client relationships.
- Manage the teams workload, as well as being hands on when required in preparing preliminary designs, supervising detailed designs, managing on-site investigations and monitoring, and reporting on the progress of project delivery and technical development within the team.
- Maintain strong working relationships with all clients, stakeholders, suppliers and contractors.
- Produce proposals and further develop our business achieving sustainable growth.
- Manage all size projects, including cost estimates, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Actively contribute to the development and implementation of overall company strategies.

**About you**
- CPEng qualified with 10-15 years+ professional structural engineering experience in New Zealand, with solid technical expertise in seismic design.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, empathy for others, sociable and friendly, with a positive drive and resilience.
- Strong leadership skills, mentoring team members, being a role model for promoting high work standards to deliver high quality client projects on time and within budget.
- Exceptional communication skills, thrives in client-facing roles, and excels at building and maintaining strong partnerships.
- Commercially astute, understand risk, and place a high regard on client satisfaction.
- Experience in leading and managing the delivery of structural engineering projects.
- Adept at planning and organising multiple teams that collaborate effectively with internal disciplines and external stakeholders to deliver successful projects.
- Thrive on a challenge and be motivated to provide innovative and cost-efficient solutions for our clients.
