Quality Assurance Officer

The Quality Assurance Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of products.
This position involves inspecting, testing, and advising on various aspects of production to maintain high standards and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections produce to identify quality issues and other concerns.
Evaluate handling procedures, and storage facilities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance procedures at food handling departments and processing areas.
Audit existing procedures to identify areas for improvement and ensure consistency in quality standards.
Collect samples of products for testing, including quality, size, purity, and H&S parameters.
Analyse samples and determine compliance with regulatory standards.
Provide guidance and advice on best practices for maintaining product quality, disease prevention, and pest management.
Inspect imported products for biosecurity risks and issue directives to mitigate potential threats.
Monitor and enforce biosecurity protocols to prevent the spread of diseases and pests within the ecosystems.
Stay informed about relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines pertaining to quality assurance and biosecurity.
Ensure that all activities and practices adhere to regulatory requirements

Requirements

Relevant qualifications or work experience in a similar role
Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
