In this role, you'll have the opportunity to shape and drive major gift fundraising strategies that directly impact those we care for.

The Philanthropy Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategies to engage and grow our major supporters. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising, Communications & Retail and CEO, this role will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major supporters while ensuring that all gift efforts align with Mercy Hospice's goals and strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a high performing, sustainable major supporter programme.
  • Develop and implement a strategy to strengthen Mercy Hospice's financial sustainability by increasing revenue and donor retention.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with our supporters.
  • Implement Mercy Hospice's Gifts in Wills strategy.
Skills You'll Bring to the Role:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, social sciences, communications and/or marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience with building and nurturing strong relationships and partnerships.
  • Experience with major gift fundraising, planned giving, or account management/sales.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals and build meaningful relationships.
  • Experience in fundraising software and CRM systems.
