We are looking for a Philanthropy Liaison to join our fundraising team at Mercy Hospice.

The role involves researching and identifying new funding opportunities, working with Mercy Hospice staff to determine funding requirements, submitting high quality funding applications and accountabilities in-line with the grants calendar and funder requirements, tracking grant spend, writing resolution summaries and board reports and maintaining relationships with funders.

Responsibilities:
  • Research and prospecting: Identifying and researching potential trusts and foundations that align with Mercy Hospice's mission and strategic goals.
  • Proposal writing and submission: Preparing grant proposals that are customised to match the priorities and guidelines of each funder.
  • Donor stewardship and relationship management: Cultivating and maintaining relationships with trust and foundation representatives and providing regular updates.
  • Grant management and compliance: Monitoring and managing administration of grants, including tracking funds, ensuring compliance with grant terms, and preparing timely accountability reports to funders.
