With a growing portfolio and ambitious goals, we are seeking a Business Administrator to support our finance and operations team. This role is crucial in keeping key processes running smoothly, from financial coordination to tracking planting data and supporting the team, ensuring seamless delivery across global markets.

What you'll be doing:

  1. Provide administrative and finance support across the VentureFruit team, both in NZ and internationally.
  2. Track commercial planting data globally and assist in generating production forecasts and development reports.
  3. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor setup, invoice coding, debtor follow-ups, royalty and program invoicing.
  4. Support budgeting, month-end/year-end processes and general ledger account reviews.
  5. Maintain accurate databases and contribute to the integrity of the IP fixed assets register (PVRs, trademarks).
  6. Track various activities related to an extensive commercial agreement portfolio including assisting with financial planning and forecasting.
  7. Generate and maintain various financial reports including financial product models.
  8. Comply and support with audit requirements as needed.
  9. Coordinate team travel, meetings, merchandise orders, and general office admin.
  10. Collaborate with the Senior Contract Administrator to ensure consistency and alignment across contracts and financial actions.
  11. Continuously look for ways to streamline operations and improve workflows across functions.

What you'll bring:

  1. 2+ years' experience in finance, accounts or business administration.
  2. Strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems (SAP, Xero, or other ERP systems a plus).
  3. Prior experience with financial reporting and accounting activities.
  4. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work confidently with financial data.
  5. Understanding of profit and loss accounts and strong commercial awareness.
  6. A collaborative, can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.
  7. A curiosity for how things work and a drive to improve them.
