Napier, New Zealand Anglican Care Waiapu Full time

Anglican Care Waiapu (ACW), is the social services arm of the Anglican Diocese of Waiapu. Our services and programmes in the Bay of Plenty, Tairāwhiti, and Hawke’s Bay support tamariki, whānau, and communities with early childhood education, family services, grief counselling services, and older people programmes.

We have an exciting and varied opportunity for a capable and experienced Administrator. As part of the ACW Early Childhood Education (ECE) team you will support effective and consistent administration and compliance across our eight early childhood services (Waiapu Kids). The Administrative Compliance and Improvement Lead is a newly created role working 24 hours per week and reporting to our Education Manager. This is a great opportunity to get hands on and make the role your own.

**About the role**
This is not your standard administrative role as you’ll be supporting our ECE sector to implement initiatives which ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and policy. You’ll also be embedding sound administrative and business practices with a focus on sustainability and enhancing outcomes for children/tamariki and families/whānau. This role will also provide administrative support to the Education Manager.

You will work alongside the Education Manager to enhance administrative processes within the Waiapu Kids Centres. In doing this you will monitor the effectiveness of these processes and whether they care being consistently used and identify where improvements can be made. Additionally, you will provide leadership and training to the team of Centre Administrators.

**About you**
We’re looking for someone who brings loads of energy, passion, and initiative to the role. You’ll have strong administration, organisational, and time management skills underpinned by your friendly approachable nature.

You will have experience working with complex data bases and IT platforms to inform reporting. Knowledge and experience within the ECE sector would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided.

We’re looking for someone who can take initiative and be proactive in their approach to get the job done. Therefore, you must be able to multitask, juggle competing priorities, problem solve and complete end to end tasks. Attention to detail and being super organised must be strengths. While regular travel is not needed for this role, you will need to be able to travel occasionally to complete annual compliance audits across our organisation.

In return you’ll work in a supportive and encouraging environment that provides professional development, flexibility, and some opportunities to work from home. Our company culture is one that we are proud of and is supported by our vision and values. The best part - you get to work with a team who truly make a difference in the community

To be successful in this role, you will have;
- A high level of administrative experience
- A relevant administration or business qualification preferred but not essential
- Experience with Health and Safety/Regulatory compliance
- Experience in supporting business improvement initiatives
- Understanding of budgets and monitoring of income and expenditure
- Experience with complex data bases
- Well developed planning and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
- Positive, forward-thinking and problem solving in your approach, with a “can-do” attitude
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Highly computer literate, including in the MS Office Suite
- Highly professional, discreet, comfortable working with confidential information

What we can offer you:

- An opportunity to make the role your own
- Competitive remuneration
- Additional leave - Birthday off and Wellness leave
- Learning and Development
- A values based organisation

If you’re ready for the next step in your career, then we’d love to hear from you Applications will remain open until filled so don’t wait
