Catering Assistant

In this position you will be our team all-rounder.

You will support the Chef manager in the kitchen to make sandwiches/salads for the cold cabinet, plating our daily lunch meals and assisting with baking and regular function food.

Being able to prepare top quality barista coffees is a must.


This role needs someone who can multitask with the added duty of keeping the kitchen/café clean and hazard free including dish duties.

Located in the Plant and Food building you will be working Monday - Friday (6:30am - 3:00pm). This site comes with the bonus of your own car park if you drive on a daily basis.

To be successful we are looking for an honest and responsible person who can:

  • serve beautifully crafted café style food to customers,
- operate Eftpos and POS machine with a smile,
- assist with food preparation and cleaning,
- understand a basic level of computer literacy,
- work hard as a reliable and loyal team player who can stay cool under pressure,
- utilise great communication skills and a can-do attitude,
- enjoy working with customers and keep them coming back for more.


Here is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has amazing front of house skills that wants to grow and develop baking and cooking skills.

To be successful you will need to be trustworthy, a great team player and have a real passion for food.
