About The Role:


In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of allocated retail sales departments to achieve maximum profitability, growth, and efficiency within all the departmental aspects and procedures of the store.

You will also be responsible for maximizing sales and profit within this department through delivering excellent staff leadership, merchandising, stock control and customer service.

Vacancy is for 42.5 hours per week (Tuesday - Saturday)

This will see you taking accountability for:

  • Ensuring the store floor is effectively managed and maintained at all times.
  • Ensuring customers are the number one priority, receiving the high standard of service they deserve.
  • Promoting a team culture that encourages a positive working environment.
  • Taking on responsibility for onthefloor stock, displays, pointofsale and general standards within your department (Paint & Housewares)
  • Contributing to the overall success of the store, actively supporting loss prevention initiatives and process; and
  • Other duties as required.

About You:

We are looking for people who have:

  • Sound retail leadership experience in managing and mentoring staff
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide direction and leadership.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to think ahead and offer innovative solutions.
  • A passion for customer service excellence.
  • Ability to manage a varied and busy workload.
  • Merchandising and solid product knowledge relevant to this department would also be a real advantage.
  • Must be able to work on a roster basis including weekend work.
