The Intelligence, Surveillance and Knowledge (ISK) group leads, co-designs, and develops intelligence, surveillance, and knowledge to inform Public Health strategy and policy, regulation, and monitoring of the health system actions to improve Population and Public Health outcomes and equity.

Ko tōu ake mahi - What You'll Do

You will play a critical role in leading a team of technical experts, analysts, and advisors to deliver on the core objectives of the Public Health Insights team.

In this capacity, you will leverage your people leadership experience and skills to develop your staff and build the capability and capacity of the team to deliver upcoming work in the future.

Your key responsibility will be to lead the development, planning, and implementation of the Public Health Insights work programme, ensuring that the programme aligns with similar pieces of work across the Ministry.

This will require you to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the Ministry and wider ISK group to identify areas of focus and priority for the programme, and to develop and deliver high-quality outputs that support the strategic objectives of the Ministry.

In addition to your programme management responsibilities, you will also be accountable for ensuring that the Public Health Insights team delivers high-quality analysis and insights that inform decision-making across the Ministry.

This will require your expertise in data analysis, modelling, and interpretation, as well as your ability to communicate complex information to a range of audiences in a clear and concise manner.

Overall, this is a critical leadership role that requires a strong track record of success in managing technical teams, developing and implementing programmes of work, and delivering impactful results.
