We are in an extensive growth phase and as a result are seeking a Management Accountant to join our Havelock North Head Office team to support the next stage of business maturity.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our Finance team.

You will secure a front row seat helping shape the organisations reporting infrastructure, debt and equity reporting, and the management and financial reporting to set up Cherri Global for future success.

You will need to use your initiative, be flexible if priorities change and be tech savvy. As a fast-growing organisation, there's always a focus on continuous improvements and we'll count on you to help with this journey.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be part of the operations finance team supporting the business with strategic and financial analysis.

The role will include assisting with the monthly reporting, performing cost driver analysis, full P+L reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and other ad-hoc management accounting services to the organisation through a business partnering model.

This role will require you to work with a range of managers across the business, through providing both strategic and day to day advice that informs decision making and adds value to our business.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • CA qualified or equivalent, or part qualified/working towards qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of IFRS accounting principles, procedures, and a working knowledge of NZ tax legislation.
  • Solid experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
  • Proven technical ability including advanced excel skills.
  • Experience in cost accounting and cost driver analysis including development and management of financial models.
  • Data focused with attention to detail to ensure all data sets are complete, accurate and trends identified to direct the decisions of senior management and the Board of Directors.
  • The ability to take ownership of issues and projects and drive them through to a successful conclusion.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial managers and staff.
  • Self-driven and results orientated with a can-do attitude.
