Advisor, Digital Channels (12 Fixed Term)


Are you passionate about creating positive user-experiences, digital communications, web management, and publishing? We are looking for a motivated Digital Channels Advisor to join our Communication Services team.

You will play an instrumental role in improving the digital experience for our users.

As a Digital Channels Advisor, you will be at the forefront of the development and maintenance of the Ministry's digital channels, ensuring their alignment with the Ministry's brand, guidelines, and best practices.

You will work alongside talented communications professionals to leverage digital opportunities.


The role involves creating engaging and user-friendly interfaces, monitoring and analysing web channel usage, implementing social media strategies, optimizing SEO, and publishing content across multiple platforms.

Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating with relevant stakeholders to address technical and content-related issues, as well as supporting the development and delivery of training material.


Your analytical acumen, creativity, and attention to detail will be crucial in synthesizing information, identifying trends, and making data-driven recommendations to strengthen the Ministry's digital presence and engagement with various audiences.

To be successful in the role

  • A keen eye for details, initiative, strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
  • Experience in web and content management, including development and maintenance of websites, and their content lifecycle.
  • Solid understanding of SEO optimization techniques and ability to analyse search results to improve rankings.
  • Experience in digital publishing using website CMS across various platforms.
  • Ability to analyse data, create reports, and make evidencebased recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate and build trusting stakeholder relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Commitment to brand and reputation management processes.

Utu ā-tau/Salary**Salary Range: The appointing salary for this role will be between $70,518 and $97,908 based on skills and experience.
