Do you have the ability to multi-task across a range of activities for a variety of individuals, all while maintaining flexibility to accomplish deadlines? If so then come join the Hearings and Council Support team


As a Hearings and Council Support Officer you'll be a key team player providing administrative and secretarial support to the Council and its committees.

You'll need to be cool, calm and collected under pressure and have a professional manner as you deal with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.


The role requires you to deal with multiple technology suites including Microsoft office, Adobe Acrobat and internal council systems so having confidence to learn and adapt is a must.

You'll have to deal with both reactive situations and daily tasks so being able to think on your feet will come in handy.

You'll be ordering stationary one moment and providing support in a Council meeting the next. Having the ability to multi task is a must

You will be an enthusiastic and energetic self-starter with a proven background in administration. You will have strong experience in administration and be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.


You must also be highly organised, task oriented, a quick learner and able to produce consistently high standards of work within tight timeframes without being fazed.

New Zealand Local Government experience would be highly desirable but not necessary.
