The Financial Management Unit operates as a Shared Services to other groups and units within the Council and this role will work within a team responsible for managing and processing all the Council's receivables and transactional banking activities.


About the role:


As a Receivables and Banking Officer you are responsible for collecting all the Council's accounts/debts (except rates) using specific systems.

You will ensure that as far as possible, all accounts are collected efficiently, cost effectively and in a fair and professional manner.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Reconciliations.
  • Banking and cash receipting.
  • Debt management and reporting.
  • Monitoring, investigating and reporting areas of concern.
  • Using information systems such as SAP, IntelliLeisure, PerfectGym Connect and MYOB. (removed GEMS)

About you:

  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to build relationships and effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Proficient in the use of technology e.g. excel
  • A desire to take a collaborative approach,
  • A customer driven attitude
