The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi As our Advisor Engagement you'll work closely with our tight knit communications and engagement team to coordinate and integrate key stakeholder and mana whenua partner engagement.

You'll work closely with LGWM's key stakeholder groups and be one of our representatives in the community, helping us to gain an understanding of their views to make sure they're heard across the programme.

This is a three-year fixed term contract. The remuneration for this role is $100 to $115k (approx.) p/a paid commensurate with experience.

About you | Ko koe tēnei To be successful you'll have previously worked in an advisory role and will have an array of engagement techniques in your toolkit.

An excellent communicator you'll be adept at presenting information to your audience clearly and simply, and you'll understand how public engagement programmes can provide insight into shaping and developing projects or programmes of work.

Experience in engagement roles within central or local government is a huge plus.

You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of, Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori.

You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of, te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
