The purpose of this role is to work on an exciting campaign preparing for this year's General Election.
This is a fixed-term role with the Electoral Commission running from the 17th of July 2023 to the 3rd of November 2023.
Position Purpose
Key Responsibilities
- Managing enquiries from members of the public and internal teams
- Providing Help Desk support
- Managing the processing of data extracts
- Supporting the development of training materials
- Any other operational support functions as required
Technical Skills
- High level of computer literacy experienced user of Microsoft Office and other related packages
- Experience in a Customer Service environment
- Contact or Call Centre experience (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of Te Ao Mori, Tikanga, and Te Reo (preferred but not essential)
- Strong self and time management skills
What you'll need to succeed
- Relationship management skills and ability to work in a team
- Planning and organisational skills
- Problem analysis skills and good judgement
- High level of flexibility and ability to multitask
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Be able to work independently
- Experience working with legislation and knowledge bases.
