Senior Area Partner

Permanent - Full-Time - Wellington

In this role, we are looking for someone who has the following:

  • Provide guidance and assurance to ensure there is support for Area governance, such as support for local planning, budgeting, performance and reporting management and elections.
  • Actively feed into the learning, improvement, and continuous development of national people experience policies and processes.
  • Proactively encourage a positive team culture and a collaborative environment for the Area team and those who actively promote learning and diverse and inclusive culture.
  • Ensure that property and asset management processes across the area are being addressed and that connections are made to national teams to support the smooth options of the area
  • Proactively identify and support initiatives that increase inclusiveness across New Zealand Red Cross people in the area and their connection to national activities.
  • Be responsible for the people leadership of direct reports in the Area team.
  • Provide clear and supportive leadership to direct reports to enable them to contribute to the direction of the New Zealand Red Cross to their full potential
  • Contribute as a member of the Area Team by providing technical advice, casework support and guidance for any national activities and plans to ensure each part of the area is well supported
  • Establish systems and routines to ensure all Area team members are inducted and undertake professional development
  • Work with the Area team to ensure the people database is well maintained with highquality data. That good people data is made available to people leaders across the area.
  • Work with Area people leaders to identify areas for improvement and develop learning plans when required.
  • Manage work allocation, coaching and wellbeing support for direct reports on a daytoday basis.
