Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity We have multiple fantastic fixed term opportunities for Area Programme Advisors to join our Local Road Programme Team to support the Programme Lead and regionally-based Area Programme Managers in the Road to Zero Speed and Infrastructure Programme.
As our Area Programme Advisor, you will provide support across a variety of sub programmes, supporting engagement with local authority and regional council partners often in the collection, collation and presentation of data and timelines.
These key roles are the connectors for key partners and councils linking into Waka Kotahi, further enabling development and traction for the Speed Management Plans and other initiatives aligned to the programme.
No two days will be alike.These are diverse and truly rewarding roles, where you will be working as part of a passionate team who are devoted to delivering Speed and Infrastructure initiatives that actively contribute towards Road to Zero.
Ko koe tēnei | About you As an Area Programme Advisor, you'll bring a flexible attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges as the role evolves alongside the programme.
We are looking for confident self-starters, who thrive working collaboratively with diverse and varied stakeholders to achieve positive transport outcomes.
In addition, you'll bring:
- A passion for working collectively to enable change
- Strong analytical and interpretation skills with the ability to manage data and information and present accurate and insightful reports for senior managers and external stakeholders
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- The ability to deliver pragmatic solutions in a timely manner
- Proven experience building positive working relationships with internal and external parties at all levels
- Confidence learning new digital platforms
- A genuine interest to build on or develop an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori
