Executive Assistant to General Manager, Market Regulation
Due to a recent promotion we are looking for a Executive Assistant to join our Market Regulation branch.

Reporting to the General Manager, Market Regulation you will provide exceptional executive assistant support to him and quickly become a valued member of his leadership team.

The Market Regulation branch is responsible for making New Zealanders better off through improving competition outcomes in regulated markets. This is a permanent position based in our Te Whanganui-a-Tara office.
Mō te tūranga | About the role

In this busy and varied role you will ensure the GM is set for success everyday through your strong coordination and organisational skills.

This is a role where your ability to pick up systems and processes quickly, build strong relationships across both the branch and organisation, and connect with the work the branch does, will be truly valued.

Our teams operate in a fast-paced project-based environment so the ability to effortlessly juggle a busy workload and multiple activities is critical.

You will be the point of contact for many queries so your knack for thinking laterally and not being afraid to make calls on prioritising the GM's inbox, time, and calendar is really important.

You will be a team player who can interact with a diverse group of people at all levels and confidently contribute to the discussion.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be able to anticipate needs and navigate the challenges of always being two steps ahead of everyone else
  • Provide exceptional administrative support using your initiative and sound judgement
  • Use your welldeveloped problemsolving skills to find effective solutions
  • Build a good understanding of the Commission's work and how that relates to the Market Regulation branch
  • Work alongside other team members to ensure outcomes are delivered beyond expectations
