Hourly rate:
$29.70 per hour

We are currently looking for a Telecommunications Assistant to join us in Waikato Region. You should have a positive attitude and be willing to learn. You must be mature and responsible when it comes to dealing with tough situations.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

  • To assist Telecom Technicians in the provisioning of Fibre for customers
  • Assisting Telecom Technicians to install and maintain telecommunications systems
  • Performing set up and clean up tasks at the job site
  • Put up warning signs (e.g., signposts, cones) for vehicles and passersby
  • Moves, secures, loads, or unloads tools, equipment, or other material as directed by Technicians.
  • Concrete slot cutting, dig trenches, Hauling, lay cables, backfilling holes and level ground as directed by the Technicians
  • Follow instructions from Technicians to perform manual labor tasks (e.g., digging)
  • Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material
  • Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
  • Performs various physical duties as assigned.
  • Maintain all safety standards
  • Flexible Work Availability as you may be required to work during evenings and weekends if and when required
  • Excellent fitness and physical ability to carry out manual tasks
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces such as house basement
  • Ability to read safety warnings, and guidelines
  • Attentive to detail and alert at all times to ensure safety
  • Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate with coworkers
  • Enjoy coming to work and willing to be part of a team.
  • No Criminal Record and able to clear the drug test
