The Role:

We are looking for a savvy, driven, and competent Water Manager to lead this growing work stream.

You will provide leadership to your team ensuring they are working safely, completing quality work, on time and to contract requirements.


This role has the responsibility and accountability for the overall performance of the workgroup, driving positive changes to our operation, unlocking opportunities for efficiency, and ensuring we are running a sharp operation.


As Water Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Supporting the supervisors to run effective and efficient projects and contracts, ensuring works meet SLAs, budgets and timeframes
  • Manage the works programme, to ensure there is a continuous pipeline of work
  • Providing leadership, role modelling best practice and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Championing health and safety across the organisation
  • Undertakes all regulatory requirements to ensure all completed works are compliant in all aspects
  • Providing operational and commercial advice and recommendations to the management team, to support sound and astute decision making.
  • Identify and implement improvement projects that improve systems and processors across the functions.
  • Providing leadership and role model the values and critical success factors across Civtec.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the Water sector
  • Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
  • Estimating and Tendering experience
  • System savvy, using technology to drive efficiencies
  • Demonstrated performance in delivering projects on time and within budget and in line with health, safety, quality and environmental objectives
  • A demonstrated ability to lead and motivate people at all levels
  • Customerfocussed attitude that ensures a positive experience
  • Drive for continuous improvement and leading change
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and build rapport easily
  • Welldeveloped communication skills and the ability to lead, grow and motivate through both written and verbal channels
