Within our Service Portfolios directorate, you will be part of a product team.

These teams include Logistics and Business Support & Single Services towers, with the expectation that your skillsets can be used across other NZDF business domains.

Using your Analyst background, you will have the opportunity to develop new or improve current processes and systems through developing user stories and associated acceptance criteria with our stakeholders.

This will ensure products have a clear traceability back to user needs.

You will also assist Product Owners with future sprint planning and Product Managers with roadmaps, taking data that's available today and synthesising enhancement opportunities.

Experience of, or exposure to a combination of the following:

  • Writing effective user-stories.
  • Business Process Modelling.
  • Understanding of Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) and AGILE, with experience in SAfEe an advantage.
  • Understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), with experience in the development of service support collateral an advantage.
  • Developing and improving business and workflow processes.
  • Identify changes to product functionality and contributing to prioritisation processes.
  • Experience completing Cost Benefit analysis (desirable).

Additional skills:

  • Ability to build strong relationships and develop good rapport across a wider range of business and ICT teams.
  • Be openminded and forward thinking with good problemsolving skills.
  • Experience in completing and supporting Risk analysis processes.
  • Demonstrates an interest to learn and adopt to new technologies.
  • Selfstarter.
