The GCSB is looking for an Intelligence Production Analyst to join our team.

This can be an entry level role into the Production Analyst career path, or an opportunity to broaden your existing intelligence analysis skills.

With ongoing support and training, your primary role will be analysing information, possibly in a foreign language, and drafting classified reports that inform government decision-making.

You will operate with a significant degree of autonomy as you endeavour to satisfy New Zealand's intelligence needs, with the satisfaction of seeing tangible impacts from your work.

This is a challenging and rewarding role and requires a willingness to develop and maintain a good working knowledge of information and communication technologies.

You will also work with, and contribute to, a tight-knit team of dedicated professionals who are experts in topics that are of real interest to the New Zealand government.


To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Good general knowledge of, and an interest in international political, economic and security affairs
