You will be responsible for identification, analysis, design, development and delivery of effective business, technology and user solutions for Defence Logistics Command with the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF).

This role collaborates productively across the wider logistics domains to produce required outcomes for Apps users.

Working with Defence Digital and other system and policy owners, the role leads the identification of requirements and priorities, transforms business processes, policies, system and other organisational solutions, to better support NZDF logistics.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading process redesign workshops, liaising with users to elicit process requirements and determine the business goals that users want to achieve;
  • Championing usercentred design and the involvement of users in the development of requirements; and
  • Developing relevant user cases/ user stories / requirements for developers and testers.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience

You will be an experienced Product, Business or Apps Analyst with the ability to work as the conduit and translate information between the technical specialist and business users.

This role requires open communication and engagement approach to ensure effective and fit-for-purpose solutions.

You will also have:

  • Experience working within a logistics, infrastructure or digital business analysis and in solution delivery, or significant experience in IT support;
  • Ability to employ both technical and soft skills as this role is the primary point of contact for matters relating to Logistics Apps users;
  • Positive and productive collaboration and teamwork skills within an Agile environment; and
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP, Microsoft Azure AD, Intune and ADO would be ideal, but not essential.

Please Note:
This role is based in Trentham, Upper Hutt.

While remote working is possible, the work will be predominately on site, with occasional visits to users' sites as needed.
