Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity

In particular, the Administrators will:

  • Lodge all team requests, allocate then monitor progress each task and track to its conclusion. A system will need to be developed.
  • Manage, coordinate and complete legislative tasks associated with the oversight of Māori Warden warrants.
  • Provide business planning support across the Team which will include procurement sign off, budget accruals in consultation with other administrators, sign off for contracts and monitoring.
  • Maintain knowledge management systems on behalf of the office and ensuring team outputs are stored and coded in accordance with Te Puni Kōkiri knowledge management standards and policies.
  • Provide proactive and highly efficient personal administrative services to the Manager and teams.
  • Proactively consider the administrative support needs of the team in relation to the work programme and work with the Manager to ensure resource needs are planned.
  • Quality check, all documents and paperwork before publishing and distribution.
  • Provide proactive and efficient administration services.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstratable administrative support.
  • A high level of proficiency with Microsoft packages especially Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Welldeveloped communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstratable the ability to work in and as a member of a team.
  • An understanding of the significance of confidentiality.
  • An understanding and appreciation of tikanga; Te Reo Māori and Māori development kaupapa.
  • An understanding of and experience in communicating in a way that connects with te ao Māori.
  • A cando attitude.
  • A willingness to continue your professional development, including taking part in the team's māhere reo (te reo Māori) journey.
  • A full and clean driver's license.
