Negotiate and execute research contracts:

The opportunity
Key responsibilities:
- Manage a large volume of contracting requests within an allocated portfolio.
- Be an interface with the relevant internal research support teams, researchers and external clients and funders to enable a smooth contracting negotiation and execution process.
- Draft a range of commercial and government funded contracts across a variety of sectors.
- Navigate through a number of systems and processes to enable project activation following contract execution.
- Negotiate and execute effective, robust contracts with investors and academics.
- Maintain correspondence and records with a CRM system
Your skills and experience:
Experience in a similar role will make you stand out; however, it is essential for you to have:
- An ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- The ability to negotiate contracts and manage expectations of multiple stakeholders.
- Ideally a tertiary graduate in or studying in law or business management.
- Collaborative and positive working style.
- Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Solid administrative skills with an eye for detail.
- Ideally the ability to work in a large, complex and fast paced organisation.

Aligned specifically to the 'advancing research' component of UniServices' purpose, the Contract Team sits within the Strategic Growth Services; a core part of the functional framework supporting achievement of our strategic goals, which in turn supports the research aspirations of our shareholder, Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland.
