The role:


As a Frame and Truss Site Manager in Wellington you will ensure that Fletcher Building Values (Protect, Customer Leading, Be Bold, Better Together) and the PlaceMakers Manufacturing strategic Foundation and Pillars are the guiding principles in this Leadership role.

To be the Leader of a New Zealand Distribution F&T Manufacturing site that supports and actively drives the vision of becoming the Undisputed Market Leader in Frame & Truss in New Zealand.


We are looking for a natural leader; someone with a flair for investing in people and working with them to reach their potential, drive continuous improvement, while also focusing on our strategic goals.

This is a full-time permanent role that will be in our Wellington Frame and Truss Plant.

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead the Wellington Frame and Truss plant and manage the operational and financial performance of the site.
  • Business strategies are implemented so that Wellington F&T achieves targeted market share and financial goals.
  • Maintain effective relations and liaise with store/branch staff, suppliers, maintenance providers, production staff, estimators, detailers, and National Frame & Truss Management Team.
  • Be a Safety Leader by leading all aspects of health and safety and fostering a safe environment for all.

About You:


We are looking for an individual who is highly self-motivated and team focused, you will have a proven track record of meeting & exceeding operational goals, KPI's and proven strategic leadership skill.


  • Over 5 years of proven operational experience in site management of a manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • Your ability to build longterm, sustainable relationships with customers and key accounts as well as being an excellent communicator who can work with a diverse range of people.
  • Strong organisational, decisionmaking, and problemsolving skills to ensure that you can implement systems and processes that result in significant operational improvements.
  • You will be a natural leader with tested people management experience and the ability to engage your teams to continually look to be better.
