Located in Grey Lynn , Giltrap Volkswagen is Auckland's largest Dealership for Volkswagen passenger and commercial vehicles.

Giltrap Volkswagen is part of the greater Giltrap Group a proudly New Zealand family-owned business whose objective is to give delight in everything motoring.

This role reports to the Giltrap Volkswagen Sales Manager and is located at our Great North Road Showroom.

Purpose of Position:

In this role you will be responsible for explaining and demonstrating the features and benefits of our products and our organisation to our customers. You will be required to keep in regular contact with them, building relationships and working with your sales team to create and maintain the Giltrap experience. You will be required to drive growth in sales with new and existing customers.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain and grow your customer database.
  • Contribute to the presentation of our cars in the Volkswagen showroom and yard, as well as digitally.
  • Coordinate the preparation of vehicles prior and post-sale with our service, parts and grooming teams.
  • Introduce customers to our Business Manager and ensure all our products and services are explained and offered to customers.
  • Completes sales documentation both electronically and hard copy effectively and efficiently.
  • Appraisal of trade-in vehicles.
  • Lead management.

About you:

Our ideal candidate should have proven experience working in motor vehicle sales, as well as the ability to build and nurture long lasting relationships with customers and stakeholders. You will be required to keep in regular contact with your customers, building relationships and working with your sales team to create and maintain the Giltrap experience. Other desirable skills and attributes include:

  • Well-developed communication and selling skills.
  • Professionalism and a high standard of presentation.
  • Good IT skills including internet and selling techniques.
  • Highly motivated and well organised.
  • Full and current New Zealand driver's license.
