EP is seeking a
Learning Advisor to join our Science Alive Mātauranga Team, a collaboration between Education Perfect and the Science Alive Charitable Trust.

We design innovative cross-curricular STEAM-focused lessons intertwined with Mātauranga Māori, including Te Ao and Te Reo Māori, available to all schools within Aotearoa New Zealand.


This is a full-time (negotiable) fixed-term position until the end of 2023 which, dependent on funding, could be extended until the end of 2024.

We are looking for someone who can commit anywhere from 20 to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities include:

  • Using pedagogical knowledge and skills to check lesson and module levelling and quality providing feedback to content writers.
  • Creating teacher documentation assets to accompany resources
  • Working with the project lead and Science Alive on the development of ideas and scope of lessons
  • Responsible for project management and delivery alongside the project lead

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified techsavvy teacher with at least 2 years experience in the classroom with year 58 learners in NZ.
  • Passionate about all things STEAM, digital learning and incorporating 21st century teaching models into practice.
  • Beneficial to have knowledge of or experience in areas of Te Ao and Te Reo Māori
  • Researching skills, comfortable at reaching out to experts and translating complex information for a younger audience (913 year olds)
  • A design thinker who loves problem solving and challenges; always looking for opportunities to improve ways of working
