What you'll do


As a Traction & Systems Controller you will look to monitor and control the Auckland & Wellington Electrified Traction Systems.

As part of your new position, you will look to undertake rail system support duties for the national rail network on a 24/7 rotating roster.

What you'll need

  • An Electrical qualification as a Line Mechanic or Electrician or Electrical Service Technician
  • Experience working with Electrical systems or nonelectrical trade or technical experience that shows ability to understand control systems and procedures
  • Experience working shift work
  • Ability to travel and stay away from Wellington (including Auckland) for short periods
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • NCEA Level 1 in Maths & English or Equivalent
  • Full Class 1 Drivers Licence (New Zealand or International)
