About the role This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to move towards a people leadership role and who has a keen interest in building a great engineering culture.

You will spend approximately 70% of your time writing code and working within a delivery squad, and the other 30% mentoring senior, intermediate and junior engineers.

You'll learn from, and be inspired by, our team of software developers in our energy revolution and at the same time you will: Use your advanced software development skills to build software - primarily in Java, but also at times with frontend frameworks like React, and infrastructure automation with Terraform Mentor and develop high-performing engineers 1:1s, coaching, and providing professional development opportunities Act as a communication channel between developers, squads and teams Grow in your role and in your career, collaborating with leading global partners such as AWS to build valuable software systems for a global customer base Work in a stable, product-focussed agile team and have a voice in what we build, and how we build it Learn (and teach) how to use TDD, BDD, and automated application deployment for effective software delivery Gain experience with AWS services like Lambda, Dynamo DB, S3, IAM, and more Help to improve the developer experience at VTS.
