This is a full-time position permanent position, 40 hours per week based in Petone, Wellington.
The remuneration range for this role is $67,382 to $95,128 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity

The Risk and Assurance Advisor (internally known as the Enterprise Risk and Assurance Advisor) will aid in maintaining the integrity of the Risk and Assurance functions (internal audit, compliance, risk management, business continuity and emergency management and enterprise business process).

A normal day would include; getting out there and talking to the business about our operational controls, processes, and risk management (office & field), identifying development opportunities through engagement and analysis, maintaining collaborative working relationships and helping the wider business with delivering on their obligations.

You will champion and engage with the business on meeting the organisations risk and assurance obligations using defined methodologies and tools.

You will build capability through knowledge sharing and build the Regulatory Services Directorate credibility by engaging effectively with stakeholders.
You will be part of a supportive and diverse team of five.
About you

To be successful in this role you will bring the following:

  • Relevant Risk and Assurance focused qualification OR relevant experience to demonstrate an equivalent level of skill and knowledge preferred
  • Minimum three years' experience with asset and quality management systems preferably in the water, or similar, industry
  • Experience with internal audit, compliance and risk management processes
  • Knowledge and experience of management systems standards and business process frameworks
  • Strong relationship building skills, able to work effectively both individually and as part of a team
