About the role

As a Senior Risk and Assurance Advisor, you'll work together with our dedicated team of experts in Group Risk to provide advice, support and professional services to the business, whilst reporting to the Head of Internal Audit.

This role is about enabling our people to service our customers, while working to practically mitigate operational, financial, legal/regulatory, and reputational risk.


You'll do this by:

- assisting the business to implement the risk management framework
- educating the business on effective risk management and control assurance
- undertaking independent audits of financial, operational and technology processes and provide control advice to management and staff.

The Internal Audit team is agile and responsive to business needs while ensuring it provides assurance to our people, including the Executive Leadership team and the NZ Post Board.

About you

Due to the nature of the work we do, key to your success will be your ability to engage and build effective, trusted relationships with people at all levels.

Your professionalism, inter-personal savvy and skill in presenting an argument for change and improvement will be highly valued.

We are looking for people who are commercially savvy, and have a solid background in the provision of internal audit and/or risk management services in a large or complex commercial organisation.

You may be CA or CIA qualified and/or have an accreditation in risk management
