Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

The role of Kaiako Haumanu | Clinical Educator is to contribute to the effective academic and professional functioning of the School of Psychology, Speech and Hearing CBT Programme and Post-graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology training programme by contributing to the development of and delivery of teaching in both programs and clinical supervision of students in the Diploma in Clinical Psychology training programme.

You will also be required to coordinate the delivery of courses in the CBT programme.

Who You Are
To be successful in this role you will be registered, or are eligible for registration with the New Zealand Psychologists Board as a clinical psychologist have:

  • Minimum of three years post-registration experience working as a Clinical Psychologist.
  • Experience in providing CBT assessment and treatment with a broad range of clients. Experience working with children and families would be considered an advantage.
  • Experience of and/or training, in the provision of clinical supervision.
  • Knowledge of, and experience in, bicultural clinical practice.
  • The ability to work in a collegial environment.
  • Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Competence in delivery of seminar teaching at postgraduate level.

The Psychology Centre is the clinical psychology training and research centre for the Clinical Psychology Programme at the UC.
