Our mission, which guides us in what we do and why, is Energy Freedom for all New Zealanders. This is about Aotearoa New Zealand being stronger economically and more sustainable through better use of homegrown, renewable energy.

Our company-wide focus of 'Thriving Today, Shaping Tomorrow' is the strategic foundation that underpins what we do and how we work together.

It builds on our mindset of long-term thinking and considered decision making, with the impact on our customers, communities and country at its heart.

  • Degree in Engineering or other relevant experience (all disciplines considered)
  • Excellent engineering judgement and an effective working knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Training and experience in process safety and industrial risk assessment methodologies and techniques

At Mercury, you are offered:

  • A diverse workplace where your unique abilities and talents will be recognised and encouraged
  • The opportunities, career paths and facilities associated with working for one of New Zealand's largest energy providers
  • Additional 5 days leave per annum (MyDays)
- $400 one off tax-free payment towards setting up your home office

  • Discounted health insurance and free life and income insurance
  • Excellent wellbeing programme including up to $100 annual check ups

Flexible working policy
  • The autonomy and trust to work flexibly from our purposebuilt premises and/or from home, recognising the value of this flexibility in the modern world

Mercury is a learning organisation that is committed to providing you with opportunities to grow and develop that will benefit you now and in the future.

Part of your role includes building your skillset and mindset through a variety of ways. We believe this creates an energised, innovative and agile work environment where you will feel valued.
