Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

  • Meade Clinical Centre outpatient nursing team is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated registered nurse who is committed to quality and patient focused care, with a strong commitment to patient education. This position is based in our Orthopaedic Clinic nursing team although; you must have a willingness to work in other clinics. This is to align with a requirement for a flexible and responsive workforce.
  • Someone who places "People at Heart" with commitment to delivering whanau focused service;
  • Has excellent time management;
  • Exhibits effective communication;
  • Has a caring and supportive attitude;
  • Demonstrates prioritisation and problem solving skills;
  • Has an interest in seeking professional development opportunities
  • Has a minimum of 3 year's post registration experience within a New Zealand hospital/acute care setting
  • Sound nursing knowledge & experience in medical & surgical nursing specialties (experience in Orthopaedics would be advantageous although training will be given to the right person including casting training).

The Meade Clinical Centre (MCC) is comprised of a diverse range of specialty outpatient clinics, and services up to 950 patients per day.

There is potential for flexibility across a variety of clinics, and opportunities to build nursing knowledge & experience in a number of areas - whether it is facilitating nurse led clinics, an allocated clinic or working with senior nurses and specialists supporting investigations & minor procedures.
