Permanent - 64 hours per fortnight

The function of this role is to provide specialist nursing care within a community setting for patients that have had a recent cardiac event.
The nurse will provide secondary prevention / cardiac rehabilitation, as well as symptomatic state management and education.You will be supported in this role by:
- Working alongside experienced community Cardiology Nurses
- An orientation to the role requirements
- Autonomy to develop and implement ideas
- Educational opportunities as required

Required skills & experience you will need to be consider for this role:
- Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Proven ability and willingness to share knowledge that is evidencebased.
- Minimum of 5 years Cardiology / cardiac surgery experience, with evidence
- The ability to influence nursing staff in the provision of high standards of care.
- Effective communication and teaching skills in a variety of settings.
- Excellent time management skills with a strong teamwork focus
- Ability to plan and execute education programmes to meet the needs of
- A proactive approach to quality, with a sound understanding of quality issues.
- A current full driver's licence as you will need to travel around the Waikato.
