ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Supported by an Operations Manager, you will lead and coordinate daytoday activity on the production floor. With 3 direct reports and around 50 indirect.
  • Liaising with stakeholders, including the sales team.
  • Work closely with the Planner and use the planning IT system, to determine and then communicate regular changes in workload priorities.
  • Support your supervisors/managers by assisting them in determining workload priorities and ensuring each department is wellresourced (supplies and labour).
  • Coordinate production activities across multiple departments to ensure jobs are in priority, top quality and completed and delivered ontime, inline with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ensure production is achieved both safely and efficiently with H&S systems and processes followed.
  • Delivery of KPI's and reporting.
  • Assist with special projects and step into production departments to assist when necessary. Including planning and operations management for absentees when required.
  • Facilitate cross skill training and professional development of your team members.
  • Be involved with recruitment of both temp and permanent staff, and lead performance evaluations.
  • Focus on a work environment of continuous innovation and improvement.

ABOUT YOU

  • An experienced Production Supervisor or Production Manager in a NZ manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in production which involves engineering, fabrication and/or print.
  • A people manager you work alongside staff, assisting them to find the best solution and ensuring they are individually and collaboratively delivering at their best.
  • Lead by example and demonstrate a practical downtoearth solution focused approach.
  • Able to communicate extremely well with different diversities and skill level of staff.
  • Ambitious. selfmotivated, engaging, enthusiastic with high IQ and EQ.
  • You are known for your impeccable attention to detail and highquality standards with a keen focus on Health & Safety.
  • You are incredibly wellorganized and forward thinking with plenty of initiative and confidence. While remaining humble, open to learning and adaptable.
  • IT savvy and able to work with planning software, produce reports etc.
  • Able to prioritize and juggle a large workload (up to 100 jobs per day) and stay calm under pressure.
Hours for this role are 6am-2.30pm Monday to Friday with longer hours expected only at peak production periods. Start can be immediate or mid or late January.

REMUNERATION

  • Depending on experience level, pitched to attract either an experienced Production Manager or a Supervisor who with the necessary skills and a positive "can do" attitude
