Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Driving sales growth through product range analysis and opportunity identification
  • Management of products and the overall category, from source to shelf
  • Ongoing contact with brand owners, manufacturers and retailers to manage pricing and profitability
  • Formulate, create and manage retail trademarketing activities and brand marketing activities
  • Direct sales activities as the product experts to 'sell' to product buyers
  • Background selling products to bluechip national retailers (head offices), from a wholesaler/distributor perspective
  • Time management and prioritization skills to ensure requirements are delivered on time to customer requirements
  • Ability to own product database for category, ensuring complete and accurate data is available
  • Proven experience in providing input and market feedback to deliver understanding of channels, competitors and products
  • A commercial understanding of revenue and profitability metrics
  • Existing experience managing trade marketing and traditional marketing spend as well as other category related costs
  • The ability to communicate confidently at all levels
