You will be managing the flow of information and documentation for the Directorate of Army Careers Management (DACM) with the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF).

This role comes with a variety of responsibilities including site management of the Defence Document Management System (DDMS), reporting and training the wider DACM unit.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and maintaining the unit DDMS site, including access control, storage and ensuring best practices are upheld;
  • Managing a registry of incoming information and documentation, ensuring the distribution to the correct channels;
  • Maintaining legacy documentation and carrying out archival requirements as needed;
  • Monthly reporting on information flow, as well as when required; and
  • Encouraging a best practice approach and NZDF policy are followed through training of the DACM unit as needed.

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build robust relationships, as well as work as and manage a small team;
  • Working knowledge of Sharepoint, preferably DDMS or other Electronic Document Management Systems, as well as a good technical ability with MS Office Suite and ideally SAP HRMIS;
  • Great communication, both written and verbal; and
  • An understanding of Military, NZDF and/or Army (beneficial).

- most preferably a NZ citizen who has resided continuously in this country for the last 10 years, OR
- is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last 10 years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, UK or the USA; and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZSIS towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at a higher level.
