About the role


Reporting to the Network Operations Manager, as a _SCADA/NMS Engineer _you will work in a team, ensuring that our SCADA/NMS systems support current and future Control Centre performance requirements.


This is a fascinating area of engineering, working in a dynamic environment where you will be involved with new technology, cyber security and other challenging projects.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the NMS database and diagrams
  • Ensure the functionality, reliability and performance of our Network Management System (NMS)
  • Support new system developments and user requirements
  • Train staff to develop competence in using the NMS
  • Maintain and deliver SCADA data

Skills and experience

  • A tertiary level qualification in Electrical engineering or computing
  • Experience working with SCADA, IT'/OT and Communication systems (preferably GE PowerOn Advantage)
  • Proven technical experience, with an emphasis on network control and technology experience in an Electricity Distribution environment would be fantastic
  • Be an innovator, able to think outside the square and solve the difficult problems
  • Ability to communicate and influence internally and externally at all organisational levels
